YPAL is not an utopia, it is a reality.
Initiated by Anne Goalard in 2009 in the dynamic of the Reims Scènes d’Europe festival, a cultural event open to experienced and emergent European artists, YPAL is an international network of young spectators united by the same interest in performing arts.
Passionate fans of performing arts aged 18 to 30, YPAL members invent hundreds of new ways to communicate their interests.
YPAL members
>> See shows, attend workshops and meet artists.
>> Discuss and compare their experiences as spectators.
>> Define their own activities schedule, combining moments of work and moments of conviviality.
>> Invent new ways of getting together for spectators, artists and political decision-makers.
>> Keep an eye on European new creation.
>> Draw attention to new types of artistic experiences.
During the network’s meetings a working schedule is set up. Its content is decided by YPAL members along with the artists and the cultural structures that host them.
>> They organize discussions and debates on subjects they have chosen.
>> They set up training sessions led by artists which are important moments of experimentation and sharing.
>> They exchange opinions on the public welcome of the shows – source of their reflection.
